Most recently, we supplied the vestments for the 50th International Eucharistic Congress in Dublin.

As a memento, we propose the festive chasuble with the IEC logo.

Martin Barlow designed the logo ”People in Communion”. It is meant to convey the idea that people of all countries, races, languages and tribes come together as one in the communion, through and in the faith in Jesus Christ.

The crosses refer to Ex. 28:12 and 28:29, where is mentioned the names of the twelve tribes of Israel should be written on the shoulders of the vestment of Aaron and Moses. Twelve is also the number of fullness and of the twelve apostles.

For this event, twelve Celtic crosses have been used.

Chasuble IEC, width 63” (160 cm), length 53”(135 cm).The chasuble worn by the presiding bishop and by the principal concelebrants of the 50th International Eucharistic Congress 2012, featuring 12 small Celtic crosses on the shoulder. In the Scriptures, twelve is symbolic of fullness, the tribes of Israel and the twelve Apostles.



Chapter seven of the Book of Revelations describes the great heavenly celebration around the Throne of the Lamb of God. It tells how one hundred and forty four thousand (twelve times twelve times thousand) were gathered as "a great multitude that no one could count from every nation and from all tribes and peoples and languages", standing before the Lord and worshipping. 144 small Celtic Crosses around the hem as a reminder of the whole people of God, of all tribes, peoples and languages.
